The attraction of Sempu Island is Segara Anak or a lake in the middle of the island with an area of 4 hectares.

Uniquely the water from this lake is water from the sea that flows through a cliff hole on the side of the lake, the lake water is also very clear.

You can swim, fish or play in the gently sloping and cool water.

Unfortunately, to reach this island you have to get on a boat first with the services of fishermen, then it is necessary for trekking which is quite far.

As a nature reserve, Sempu Island is prohibited from being visited for tourist purposes only. Its designation as a nature reserve means that the resources on Sempu Island can only be used for scientific research and development, education and increasing public awareness, carbon sequestration or storage, and utilization of germplasm sources. for cultivation purposes.

To rectify this misunderstanding, the East Java KLHK and BBKSDA on 25/IX/2017 issued a circular letter which emphasized the prohibition on visiting this nature reserve.

Sempu Island is located in Tambakrejo Village, Sumberanjingan Wetan District. Covering an area of 877 hectares, this island is directly facing the Indian Ocean
